Adaptation relationship between printed substrate and water-based plastic ink

The printing of water-based plastic ink on HDPE high-pressure film, because the surface of such film is relatively flat, the leveling requirement for ink is relatively low, and the printing effect is better.


Set the printing conditions and requirements:

a. Condition - plate depth 38μm, oven temperature 50 ° C

The viscosity of the water-based plastic ink should be adjusted to 20~25s (No. 3 cup), or diluted by 10% to 15%. The printing speed was 30 m/min.


b. Condition - plate depth 30μm, oven temperature 50 ° C

The viscosity of the water-based plastic ink should be adjusted to 17~18s (3rd cup), or 15%~20% diluted. The printing speed was 35 m/min.


c. Condition - plate depth 25μm, warm oven degree 50 ° C

The viscosity of the water-based plastic ink should be adjusted to 15s (3rd cup), or diluted 20% to 25%. The printing speed was 40 m/min.


D. Condition - plate depth 25μm, temperature oven 50 ° C

The viscosity of the water-based plastic ink should be adjusted to 14s (3rd cup) or diluted 30%. The printing speed was 45 m/min.


Note: For every 10% increase in oven temperature, the printing speed is also proportionally increased. The printing depth is adjusted to 30μm or less and the quality of the printed product is excellent.


2 Water-based plastic ink printing on LDPE low-pressure film, due to the uneven surface of such film, the leveling requirement for water-based plastic ink is relatively high, and the relationship between printing effect and printing method is sensitive. The set printing conditions and requirements are basically the same as those printed on the HDPE high pressure film. Printing speed can be increased by 5% to 8% compared to HDPE high pressure film. Printed products are prone to tiny black spots, and ultra-thin films are prone to insufficient adhesion, but can be adjusted.


3 Water-based plastic ink printing on PET/BOPP film: different from PE film printing, it is necessary to solve the relationship between adhesion fastness and composite fastness; the relationship between ink loading rate (transfer rate) and layered version; The relationship between flatness and ink fineness. The set printing conditions are basically the same as those of the HDPE high pressure film. The print works well.
